Our History and CSR

Ø    In November 2000, “Lawtone Translation Firm” was founded, mainly engaged in the translation of various laws and regulations, contracts and agreements, financial documents, etc..

Ø    In July 2005, “Lawtone Legal Translation Firm” entered into full operation, mainly engaged in the translation of various laws and regulations, contracts and agreements, legal processes and notarial certificates, as well as in offering professional translation and interpretation services in insurance, banking, patent, financial and other sectors and industries.

Ø     In November 2007, “Shanghai Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd.” was formally established in Shanghai.

Ø   Up to the end of October 2010, Lawtone had gradually developed into a leading service provider in legal translation in China through nearly a decade’s operation and gained recognition and appreciation from numerous clients for its quality services. Also in the same year, Lawtone established the preliminary standard operating procedure (SOP) for translation and related process management practices.

Ø    In the period between 2010 and 2012, Lawtone experienced rapid growth. In the area of legal translation, our team had completed professional translation services involving translation of tens of millions of words for numerous clients from well-known law firms based in Beijing and Shanghai, consulates, foreign affairs agencies, as well as large international companies.

Ø    Since 2012, Lawtone has been maintaining robust business growth and has recruited professional managers, including HR, financial and marketing professionals, to integrate the overall resources of the Company, in order that we can provide quality translation services satisfying and even exceeding our clients’ requirements.

Ø    In 2013, Lawtone acquired an office space of over 100m2 to meet the requirements of its business development.

Ø    In 2014, Lawtone acquired another office space of over 400m2 to further meet the requirements of its business development.

Ø    In April 2015, Lawtone formed another full-time professional translator and interpreter team in Chongqing.

Ø    In November 2015, Chongqing Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd. was established.

Ø    In 2015, Lawtone rented an office space of over 200m2 as its new office in Chongqing.

Ø    In November 2016, Beijing Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd. was established.

Ø    In January 2017, Shanghai Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd. was relocated to Greenland 1860s.

Ø    In April 2017, Beijing Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd. formally entered into operation.

Ø   In July 2018, Lawtone acquired an office space of over 600m2 in Chongqing Headquarters City in Yuzhong District, Chongqing to promote the overall development of the company.

Ø     In October 2019, Chongqing Lawtone Trans Co., Ltd. was relocated to Chongqing Headquarters City.

Ø  Lawtone founded a permanent outstanding lecturer prize for the School of English Studies of Sichuan International Studies University (SISU), from which most of our employees, including the founder, graduated, in 2020 and made the first donation in the amount of ¥300,000 (RMB Three Hundred Thousand) to it on June 30, 2020.

Ø    In July 2021, catastrophic rainstorm struck Zhengzhou, Xinxiang and other cities of Henan. Later on July 26, 2021, Lawtone donated ¥100,000 (RMB One Hundred Thousand) to Xinxiang, one of the cities which were impacted by the catastrophic rainstorm worst, specifically for purchasing relief supplies for the local residents and supporting the post-disaster recovery of the city.

Ø     In August 2022, mountain fires struck Nanchuan, Jiangjin, Dazu, Tongliang, Jieshi, Kaizhou, Yubei, Beibei and other districts and towns of Chongqing. Later on August 25, 2022, Lawtone donated ¥100,000 (RMB One Hundred Thousand) to the mountain fire-stricken region specifically for purchasing relief supplies for the local residents and supporting the post-disaster recovery in the region.

Ø     On Saturday, October 15, 2022, after being informed that SISU had issued an emergency stay-at-home order to curb the spread of COVID-19 and were in urgent needs for various supplies, we immediately convened a meeting of the team leaders via videoconferencing at 20:00 that day. At the meeting, our colleagues held organized discussion and opinion exchange about the form in which we should provide our support for SISU’s effort to control the pandemic, as well as the categories, acquisition and delivery of relief supplies to be donated to SISU, etc.. A course of action had been agreed upon at the meeting in very short time, after which our colleagues had taken actions immediately. Our colleagues kept on making rush purchases of various relief supplies online until the midnight and continued to purchase additional relief supplies at physical stores as early as 07:00 AM on the next day, which was a Sunday. Later, we managed to contact and retain a delivery service provider to deliver those relief supplies at the gate of SISU at 16:00 and 17:00 that Sunday.

Ø    In April 2023, considering the crowded workplace in Chongqing, Lawtone rented an office space of 129m2 in Chongqing Headquarters City in Yuzhong District, Chongqing to improve the office environment.

Ø     In April 2023, Lawtone acquired another office space of over 600m2 in Chongqing Headquarters City in Yuzhong District, Chongqing to further promote the overall development of the company.

Ø    In the period between the end of July and the beginning of August in 2023, persistent heavy rainfall struck Zhuozhou, Hebei and other cities, and later from August 1 at 11:00 AM, Xian County of Hebei was designated as flooded area pursuant to the Emergency Notice of Immediate Designation of Xian County as Flooded Area issued by Hebei Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters. In our best effort to enhance the determination and confidence to overcome the catastrophic natural disaster in Zhuozhou, Xian County and other cities and counties in Hebei, Lawtone donated ¥100,000 (RMB One Hundred Thousand) to Xian County specifically for purchasing relief supplies for the local residents and supporting the post-disaster recovery of the county on August 4, 2023.
